Hoy, martes 30 de enero, se revelaron algunas cositas de la nueva entrega del siempre esperado MLB The Show.

El atleta que decora la portada es Vladimir Guerrero Jr., inicialista de los Blue Jays de Toronto.

«We always look for great baseball players with interesting stories to tell. We also want to partner with great people with fun personalities who genuinely enjoy playing MLB The Show. Intentionality is very important to us, and we’ve developed a great relationship with the Guerrero family over the years. The Guerreros are the first father-and-son to be featured on our game cover across the years.»

«He loves the game, comes from a baseball family, and giving back to his community is very important. These factors and others made Vladimir Guerrero Jr. the right choice for this year’s cover athlete.»

Con las palabras del primer párrafo también podemos deducir que Vladimir Guerrero padre será el atleta de alguna edición del juego. Supongo que la edición MVP.

«It was an emotion that I can’t really explain,» the younger Guerrero said in Spanish. «When you see something like that, a lot of things cross through your mind from when you were little, playing PlayStation with your friends, with your family. You look up one moment and suddenly it’s you on the cover. It’s just a huge honor for me.»

Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, Javier Báez, Fernando Tatis Jr., Shohei Ohtani y Jazz Chisholm Jr. estuvieron en la portada de MLB The Show desde 2018 hasta 2023, respectivamente.

MLB The Show 2024 será lanzado el 19 de marzo para PS4, PS5 y XBox One, XBox Series X/S (incluido Day 1 en GamePass) y Nintendo Switch.

El juego costará $60 ó $70, dependiendo tu consola de preferencia.

La edición de colección será revelada el 6 de febrero del 2024.
